The price is based on 30 paying travelers and 5 free chaperones. For smaller independent groups we will adjust the price. The ratio for free chaperones stays at 1 to 6. The lowest number of paying participants for an independent group is 10.
NEW ORLEANS, HISTORICAL PLANTATION, SWAMP TOUR
Day-1. DEPARTURE CITY – NEW ORLEANS: Arrive in New Orleans and settle into your hotel. Go for a walk with your tour director.
Day-2. NEW ORLEANS: Start your day with a guided city tour by bus. On your tour, you will visit the Mardi Gras World, St Luis Cemetery, and more. Free afternoon to take a streetcar or walk to the French Quarter.
Day-3. NEW ORLEANS: Take a bus tour to a historical plantation. On a guided tour, learn about life in the olden days when they were growing cotton or tobacco, or whatever was profitable. The slaves did all the work, and you will see how they lived in small huts. The house slaves had a much better life, but still, they were not free. In the afternoon visit the Preservation Hall and listen to jazz music.
Day-4. NEW ORLEANS: Board your bus and go for a Swamp Tour. See all kinds of swamp birds and animals and the alligators, of course. Return to New Orleans for dinner in a Cajun restaurant.
Day-5. NEW ORLEANS: Walk to the river bank and board your riverboat for a ride on the Mighty Mississippi River. Think of Huckleberry Finn and his adventures. Have lunch on the boat. Return to New Orleans and continue with the visit of the French Quarter. Listen to the Jazz music and sample gelato at the venue.
Day-6. NEW ORLEANS: Spend the morning visiting the WWII museum. It is the biggest and the best WWII museum in North America. The artifacts are amazing, and the videos are impressive. It is so easy to learn so much, just walking and listening and observing. It is the best history class possible. In the afternoon, attend a class at the famous New Orleans Cooking School.
Day-7. DEPARTURE: Free morning before boarding your bus to the airport and your flight home.

STUDENT SURCHARGE:
in double accommodation: $30.00 per person/night

PAYMENT POLICY:
A down payment of $300.00 for the tours in 2024 is due before July 31st, 2023, and for the trips in 2025 before July 31st, 2024.
Up to 10 payments per request.
The down payment is not refundable.
INSURANCE – optional.
Includes trip cancellation, lost baggage, trip interruption, and medical insurance. It will be added to your first payment.
Price for students to be calculated.
Adults based on age.
If your group or any individuals from your group do not accept this insurance, the group leader must inform E&L GROUP TOURS in writing.
All individuals traveling with E&L GROUP TOURS must show proof of valid travel insurance.
NOT INCLUDED:
Gratuities optional – suggested $2.5 per day per person for the tour director and $5.00 per person per day for the local tour guide.
