The price is based on 30 paying travelers and 5 free chaperones. For smaller independent groups we will adjust the price. The ratio for free chaperones stays at 1 to 6. The lowest number of paying participants for an independent group is 10.
PARIS, VIMY RIDGE, YIPRES, DIEPPE, NORMANDY, BAYEUX, PARIS
Day-1. DEPARTURE CITY – PARIS: Overnight flight to France.
Day-2. PARIS – VIMY RIDGE: Arrive in Paris and take a tour of Paris. See the Eiffel Tower, Place de la Concorde, Notre Dame Cathedral, Champs-Élysées, Arc de Triomphe, Trocadero, Opera Garnier, Bastille, Left Bank, and the University of Sorbonne. Then continue by your bus to La Somme, where the Newfoundland Regiment scored an important victory over the Germans. At the end of the day, visit the legendary Vimy Ridge to see the monument, trenches, and battlefield from WWI. End the day in Aras.
Day-3. YPRES – FLANDERS – DIEPPE: Travel to Ypres, the town known from WWI where the Germans first used poisonous gas. Continue to nearby St. Julien to visit Vancouver Corner, where you will find the Brooding Soldier. Then to Paschendale, where 16 000 Canadian soldiers died. Late in the afternoon, travel to Dieppe and your hotel for overnight.
Day-4. DIEPPE – NORMANDY: Visit Dieppe, landing beaches as well as the cemetery and the Museum. Then proceed to Normandy to reach Bayeux. Late afternoon/ evening, join your tour director for a walking tour through this medieval town.
Day-5. BAYEUX: Visit to the landing beaches of WW II. Start at Arromanches-les-Bains, a small fishing village that was turned into the military harbor and famous Point du Hoc. Then visit Courseulles-sur-Mer where the Juno Beach Center is located, as well as the Memorial Pegasus, dedicated to the men of the 6th Airborne Division and their heroic actions during the Battle of Normandy 1944. Then return to Bayeux for some free time in the old town.
Day-6. ROUEN – VERSAILLES – PARIS: Travel to nearby Rouen, a historic city where William the Conqueror died and the place of the trial and execution of Joan of Arc. Continue to Paris and visit a palace of Versailles built by the order of Louis XIV, the Sun King. Visit the State and Royal Chambers, the Chapel, Drawing Room, Hall of Mirrors. Late arrival in Paris for overnight.
Day-7. LOUVRE: Visit the Louvre, with its huge collection of sculptures and paintings, including the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci, the Venus de Milo, and the Winged Victory of Samothrace, as well as the section of priceless sculptures from the Ancient world. In the afternoon, walk along the Seine to Pont d’Alma and board the Bateaux- Mouches for an exciting cruise along the Seine. Then up to Trocadero and the Arc de Triomphe.
Day-8. PARIS: Explore Île de la Cité, the cradle of Parisian civilization, Notre Dame, Pont Neuf, Place Dauphine, and the Conciergerie Prison (where Marie Antoinette was imprisoned). In the afternoon, take the elevator to the highest point of Eiffel Tower for an amazing view of the city.
Day-9. DEPARTURE: Transfer to the airport for your flight home.

A down payment of $300.00 for the tours in 2024 is due before July 31st, 2023, and for the trips in 2025 before July 31st, 2024.

The down payment is not refundable.
The number of participants, the ratio, and the price can be changed according to request.
INSURANCE – optional.
Includes trip cancellation, lost baggage, trip interruption, and medical insurance. It will be added to your first payment.

Adults based on age.
If your group or any individuals from your group do not accept this insurance, the group leader must inform E&L GROUP TOURS in writing.
All individuals traveling with E&L GROUP TOURS must show proof of valid travel insurance.
